  • Friendly and fast service. The gingerbread latte was phenomenal! You can tell it's a housemate syrup and not an artificial flavoring. The molasses really comes through and pairs so well with the coffee.

  • Absolutely love this place! The coffee is top-notch, and their croissants are fresh, flaky, and delicious. I especially appreciated how the barista went out of their way to make me an authentic traditional macchiato. It was perfect and exactly how it should be. The customer service is outstanding, warm, and genuine. If you're someone who appreciates a rich espresso flavor and great service, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

  • The staff were warm and welcoming, and their recommendation was spot on. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with smooth jazz playing softly in the background. My drink was delicious, and I appreciated the comfortable seating. The space felt bright and pleasant, thanks to large windows that let in plenty of natural light, complemented by thoughtful indoor lighting.

  • Staff is super friendly and the coffee is great! Last week I grabbed a drink after a long shift, and immediately spilled it while unlocking my bike on my way out. The barista offered to remake it before I could even ask. I then proceeded to do the exact same thing again this week. I was too shy to ask again, but I’m sure they would’ve remade it for me if I had. I apologize for any coffee stains on the concrete in front of the bike rack.

  • A very quiet open space coffee shop to get work done and have business meetings. I went there with two of my friends to do some work. The place was so nice. My friend had there coffee with whip cream and she absolutely loved it. Good price. Amazing customer service Coffee shops in Portland usually closes early but this store is open till 5 which was a plus for me. Definitely coming back.

  • My sister and I purchased a blank "Coffee Log Book" and are on a mission to try new-to-us coffee shops all around Portland. This was our first stop, and it was delightful! We had delicious drip coffee (Ethiopian blend, I believe) and a few pastries. Super friendly, inviting place. Definitely felt welcoming to all. Thank you, Refuge Coffee!

  • This was a great coffee shop. Very spacious and airy and lots of room to relax, or study, or hang out with friends etc. The coffee was also very good. They have several sugar free and diary free options which I always very much appreciate. They have outdoor seating as well. I enjoyed the space and the coffee.
